Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Design Engineer with strong expertise in sheet metal fabrication and industrial manufacturing. The candidate will be responsible for developing manufacturing-ready designs, preparing engineering drawings and 3D models, creating DXF files, and coordinating with Production, Quality and Business Development teams to ensure designs are practical, accurate and cost-effective.
Job description
- Design and develop sheet metal components, assemblies, brackets, enclosures and fabricated structures.
- Prepare detailed 2D engineering drawings and 3D models as per customer requirements.
- Create and modify DXF files for laser cutting.
- Develop flat patterns, bend allowances, bend deductions and sheet metal unfoldings.
- Design components considering laser cutting, CNC bending, welding, grinding, finishing and powder coating processes.
- Prepare manufacturing drawings, BOMs and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with Production and Quality teams to resolve design and manufacturing issues.
- Handle design modifications, engineering changes and customer revisions.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable customer specifications and quality standards.
- Provide technical support for fabrication, bending and welding processes.
