Land Surveyor & Total Station Operator

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Land Surveyor & Total Station Operator to conduct accurate, high-quality field surveys and deliver precise technical drawings across varied site conditions in Kandivali, Mumbai.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Total Station instruments efficiently on-site to collect precise survey data with minimal error.
• Execute comprehensive topographical surveys for plots, roads, highways, drainage systems, and residential or commercial buildings.
• Perform demarcation and setting out tasks by marking points and transferring levels accurately according to approved drawings.
• Conduct contour surveys, process elevation data in contour software, and prepare clear control plans.
• Execute internal carpet area measurements of units using Laser Distance Meters and draft detailed floor plans, sections, and elevations.
• Draft detailed 2D survey drawings and site layouts using AutoCAD based on collected field measurements.
• Prepare comprehensive Detailed Project Reports (DPR) and survey documentation for submission.
• Identify drawing discrepancies or site deviations and communicate them professionally to clients and project managers.

Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience in land surveying and operating Total Station instruments.
• Mandatory drafting proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Sound understanding of topographical, demarcation, contour, and internal carpet area surveying methods.
• Ability to interpret structural drawings and perform precise staking-out on site.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Good to Have

• Hands-on operational experience with Topcon GM-50 Total Station equipment.
• Experience using contour mapping software and Laser Distance Meters.
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Land Surveying.
