5-Axis CNC Engineer / Trevisan Machine Operator

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled 5-Axis CNC Engineer / Trevisan Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team at Chakan, Pune. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, setting up, and optimizing multi-axis CNC machines and Trevisan machining centers to produce high-precision valve components for the oil and gas industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, and operate 5-axis CNC machines and Trevisan machining centers.
• Read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications.
• Perform tooling selection, offset adjustments, fixture setups, and part clamping.
• Monitor machining processes to maintain tight tolerances and achieve zero-defect standards.
• Inspect machined valve components such as balls, stems, flanges, and bonnets using precision measurement tools.
• Identify cycle time optimizations and program enhancements to increase machining efficiency.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance and troubleshoot minor mechanical or operational errors.
• Maintain proper production logs, inspection reports, and documentation as per standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related discipline.
• Hands-on experience in 5-axis CNC machining, Trevisan machines, or advanced horizontal/vertical machining centers.
• Sound knowledge of CNC programming (G-codes, M-codes), tool offsets, and cutting parameters.
• Proficiency in reading complex technical drawings with comprehensive GD&T understanding.
• Experience using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, vernier calipers, bore gauges, and height gauges.

Good to Have

• Previous background in valve manufacturing or heavy precision engineering components.
• Familiarity with Fanuc, Siemens, or Heidenhain CNC controller interfaces.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing, 5S, and ISO quality management systems.
